YOUR FIRST 15 MINUTES

Four steps to
your own wallet.

We’ll walk you through the essentials. Keep your device nearby, take it one step at a time, and remember: your recovery seed belongs to you alone.

01

Get Trezor Suite

Download the official Trezor Suite desktop app or open the web version. Always check that you are on trezor.io before downloading software. Suite guides you through setup and gives you a clear place to manage your crypto.

02

Connect your device

Use the supplied cable to connect your Trezor to your computer or phone. Follow the prompts in Suite to install the latest firmware. Your device will confirm important actions on its own screen.

03

Create your wallet

Choose to create a new wallet and carefully follow the on-device instructions. Your recovery seed is the master backup to your wallet. Write it down, verify it when asked, and keep it offline somewhere private.

04

Add a PIN & explore

Set a PIN on your device to help prevent someone else from accessing it. Then explore Suite, add an account, and receive a small test transaction first. Take your time—there is no need to rush.

THE MOST IMPORTANT THING

Your recovery seed
is yours. Keep it safe.

Your recovery seed is a list of words that can restore access to your wallet if your device is lost or damaged. Anyone with those words can access your crypto—so never share them, photograph them, type them into a website, or store them online. Trezor Support will never ask for your seed.

GOOD TO KNOW

New to self-custody?

A few quick answers to help you feel at home.

What does a hardware wallet actually do?+

It keeps your private keys offline and lets you approve transactions on your physical device. Your crypto stays on the blockchain; the wallet protects the keys that control it.

What if I lose my Trezor?+

Your recovery seed is your backup. With it, you can restore your wallet on a replacement device. Keep your backup private and secure, and consider storing it in a separate safe place.

Does Trezor Support need my recovery seed?+

No. Never share your recovery seed with anyone, including someone claiming to be support. If a page or person asks you to enter it, stop and verify you are using an official Trezor resource.
